Why?

As long as people still watch TV news (and they do) TV will still need visuals. At least for now, the visuals from a google press conference are not broadcast quality and would only be used in special circumstance.

I attend dozens of news conferences each month and media are still attending, asking questions and shooting stills and video.</description>
