The Square One District was launched to an audience of hundreds of business and community leaders signaling the largest mixed-use downtown development in Canadian history. The announcement of the 130-acre, 35,000-person master plan community surrounding Square One Shopping Centre included political representatives from all levels of government as speakers and audience members. An in-person event successfully engaged the community to ensure broad awareness of the changes coming to downtown Mississauga.
We worked with provincial and municipal governments to ensure broad participation at the launch event. The local Member of Provincial Parliament, Mayor and City Councillors joined Oxford executives in a show of support for commercial and residential expansion in one of Canada’s largest urban centres. The event included speeches from the Mississauga Mayor and Oxford Properties Executive Vice President.
A digital media kit with all materials, renderings, drone video footage of the development area and additional information was created and linked to in all media materials. Rendering graphics were prominently featured in wide ranging coverage.
Targeted outreach in advance of the launch resulted in strong awareness metrics across the GTA and Mississauga where prospective commercial tenants and residential buyers are located.
